"The Beastly Month of February" or "Pirates and Snow don't mix"

After having to postpone the final weekend of the show due to LOTS of snow, we just wrapped up LBC's production of Pirates of Penzance this Monday.

The Pirate King had an increasingly poignant line in the second act:

"For some ridiculous reason, to which, however, I’ve no desire to be disloyal,
Some person in authority, I don’t know who, very likely the Astronomer Royal,
Has decided that, although for such a BEASTLY month as February,
twenty-eight days as a rule are plenty,
One year in every four his days shall be reckoned as nine and twenty..."

This has been, by far, the most BEASTLY February anyone around here has ever witnessed...and we are not even half way through!!!

I finally freed the Windstar again (this is after the second storm). If you ever wondered how city folk get their cars out, you basically dig a harbor around your car - no point in digging all around it because you'll just get plowed back in again!





I still have a lot of work to do to get the Volvo out!
